Deputy Country Director – Port-au-Prince

About the role

The Deputy Country Director supports the Country Director in representing Acted’s interests with government, donors and key stakeholders in Haiti. The role strengthens programme strategy, ensures accountability and drives operational excellence across the country office.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct context analysis, develop and roll out programme strategies, and identify strategic expansion opportunities.
• Manage donor relationships, produce proposals, and lead advocacy and communications activities.
• Oversee staff management, internal coordination, and conflict/crisis management.
• Track project implementation, manage grants, ensure quality control and partner coordination.
• Supervise finance, logistics, IT, administration, HR, audit follow‑up, compliance, security and legal matters.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher.
• Minimum three years of management experience abroad, preferably in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong organisational abilities and experience managing large national and international teams.
• Proven project‑management experience, especially with institutional components.
• Experience in community participation and liaison with local authorities.
• Flexibility, adaptability, stress resistance and excellent written and oral communication skills.

What we offer

• Salary of €3,100–€3,200 per month (pre‑tax) plus a $300 monthly living allowance.
