Deputy Representative – Haiti (P-5)

About the role

The Deputy Representative works closely with the UNFPA Representative to strengthen Haiti’s capacity to implement the ICPD Programme of Action and advance national development goals. This senior position leads the formulation and delivery of the UNFPA country programme, promotes its objectives at the national level, and ensures integration of population, sexual and reproductive health issues.

Key responsibilities

• Strengthen national capacity to implement the ICPD Programme of Action.
• Formulate, coordinate and deliver the UNFPA Country programme.
• Promote UNFPA programme goals with government, civil society and private sector partners.
• Ensure integration of population, sexual and reproductive health issues into national policies.
• Lead external relations, communications, partnership‑building and resource mobilisation.
• Manage resources transparently and deliver high‑impact programme results.

Required profile

• Principled and ethical professional embodying international norms and standards.
• Demonstrated ability to inspire, transform and deliver sustained results in a complex development environment.
• Strong commitment to transparency, resource management and programme excellence.
• Senior‑level experience (P‑5) in international development, preferably within the UN system.
