Driver for UN Support Office in Port-au-Prince

About the role

The United Nations Support Office in Haiti seeks experienced drivers to ensure safe transport of personnel, cargo, and documents across Port‑au‑Prince and surrounding areas. The role supports both routine logistics and VIP/standby duties for the mission.

Key responsibilities

• Drive various vehicles safely for transport of authorized personnel, cargo, parcels, and documents.
• Collect and deliver goods from customs, handle payments, and assist officials at the airport with immigration and customs formalities.
• Maintain assigned vehicles, perform minor repairs, log fuel consumption, and report any damage or accidents.
• Support the workshop by preparing trucks for field trips and perform VIP/standby driver duties.

Required profile

• High school certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of driving experience with a clean record, including light passenger vehicles, 4x4 SUVs, ambulances, pick‑up trucks, cargo vans, and armored vehicles.
• Fluency in Creole and French (Level II); English knowledge is desirable.
• Valid national driver’s license; first‑aid certificate and defensive driving training are desirable.
