Humanitarian Access Safety & Security Advisor

About the role

The Humanitarian Access Safety & Security (HASS) Advisor provides expert advice to the Country Director, Senior Management Team, HASS Manager and relevant program and operational units. The role supports the International Rescue Committee’s mission in Haiti by strengthening organizational capacity to manage safety, security and humanitarian access risks.

Key responsibilities

• Advise senior management on safety, security and access issues affecting humanitarian operations.
• Support the development and implementation of security risk management strategies.
• Collaborate with program and operational departments to ensure safe and principled humanitarian access.
• Monitor and assess security threats and provide timely recommendations.

Required profile

• Experience working in humanitarian contexts with a focus on safety, security or access.
• Strong understanding of security risk management principles.
• Ability to work closely with senior leadership and multidisciplinary teams.
