Port Facility Security Guard

About the role

The Port Facility Security Guard patrols assigned areas, ensures the safety of guests, team members, and property, and reports any security or safety observations. Working under the Assistant Port Facility Security Officer, the role supports daily security operations at a maritime destination.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain security for team members, visitors, guests, and property on the destination.
• Guard entry and exit points, preventing unannounced access.
• Follow a rotating schedule to cover various stations and shifts.
• Conduct visual checks, static and mobile patrols to ensure safety.
• Communicate clearly in person, via radio, or phone.
• Keep work areas orderly, clean, and safe.
• Participate in regular trainings and meetings.
• Adhere to confidentiality agreements and company SOPs.
• Greet and interact with local officials, visitors, guests, and police.
• Maintain personal appearance, hygiene, and uniform standards.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent vocational training.
• Minimum six months of related security or safety experience.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions.
