Senior Climate Policy & Regulatory Expert – South Caucasus

About the role

Lead the development and strengthening of climate policy and regulatory frameworks in the South Caucasus, ensuring alignment with the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and other international climate finance mechanisms.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct policy and regulatory gap analysis related to climate and GCF engagement.
• Guide the drafting of regulatory and policy documents.
• Ensure alignment with GCF, GEF and multilateral development banks (MDBs) requirements.
• Provide technical oversight across deliverables and support integration of outputs into institutional systems.
• Participate in stakeholder consultations and validation processes.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• 6–8 years of experience in climate policy and regulatory development.
• Demonstrated experience with the GCF (mandatory), GEF and MDBs.
• Strong analytical and drafting abilities.
• Fluency in English.
