Training Manager

About the role

The Training Manager leads the planning, execution, and supervision of a six‑week vendor‑delivered tactical program supporting HNP recruit training. Reporting to the Project Director, this senior leader coordinates classroom, range, and field training activities while ensuring alignment with ENP/HNP training sequences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed training plans, schedules, and instructor assignments for classroom, range, and field components.
• Review, refine, and adapt lesson plans, practical exercises, and training modules to meet contract and host‑nation requirements.
• Supervise senior tactical instructors, language assistants, and other training support personnel.
• Coordinate sequencing of vendor‑delivered weeks 9‑14 with HNP‑led weeks 1‑8 and related activities.
• Publish daily and weekly training schedules, manage substitutions, and ensure compliance with rest‑period and safety regulations.
• Monitor instructor performance, training effectiveness, and student progress; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Oversee student testing, evaluations, qualification events, practical exercises, and after‑action reviews.
• Collaborate with Range Conducting Officer, Security Manager, and administrative staff to synchronize range access, facilities readiness, and movement planning.
• Maintain comprehensive training records, attendance logs, assessment documentation, and timely submission of timesheets and reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing large‑scale training programs, preferably in tactical or security environments.
• Strong leadership and coordination skills to supervise diverse instructional teams.
• Ability to adapt curricula to contract requirements and host‑nation needs.
• Excellent organizational skills for schedule management, record‑keeping, and reporting.
• Familiarity with human‑rights, rules of engagement, safeguarding, first‑aid, and safety protocols.
