Education Specialist Cluster Coordinator (NO-3) – Temporary Appointment

About the role

The Education Specialist Cluster Coordinator (NO-3) will support UNICEF’s education response in Haiti during humanitarian emergencies. Reporting to the Chief Education (Programme/Cluster), the incumbent will ensure strategic, timely, and accountable coordination among government, UN agencies, NGOs and other partners.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate humanitarian education actors across Haiti to align interventions with IASC core functions and humanitarian standards.
• Develop sectoral plans, monitor cluster performance, and ensure evidence‑based decision‑making.
• Build and nurture partnerships with government counterparts, UN agencies, NGOs and other stakeholders.
• Promote innovation, knowledge management and capacity‑building initiatives within the education cluster.
• Provide technical support to education programmes, ensuring they meet the needs of crisis‑affected children and communities.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s) in education, pedagogy, psychology, sociology, international development, management, social sciences or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in programme planning, coordination, management or research in education.
• Demonstrated experience working in humanitarian contexts.
• Fluency in French and intermediate proficiency in English.
